Kenny Rogers
Kenny Rogers nació el 21 de
agosto de 1938
en Houston, Texas. Este cantante
country creció en uno de los sectores más pobres de la ciudad. Su padre, John
Rogers, quería que compusiera dos canciones desde que era niño, como las de
"The coward of the county" "Ruby don't take your love to
town", empezando su carrera artística. Tuvo la influencia de varios
músicos de la música country y soul, tales como Nat
King Cole, Charlie Daniels, Arthur
Alexander y Chuck Berry. En 1977 logró un éxito descomunal con su
sencillo "Lucille" que arrasó en las listas estadounidenses de
country y además en los rankings de música pop. Otro de sus grandes y memorable
éxitos es el tema "Coward of the County". Actuó junto con Barbara Streisand
